Thanks to the team at Call for Help, we were lucky to be on 2 different segments with host Amber MacArthur and Leo Laporte. I presented JobLoft.com from the job seeker’s aspect and on the flip side, Lee presented JobLoft.com from the HR recruiter’s point of view. The show is on G4 TechTV. We will give an update when this show goes on air, so stay tuned!

Some interesting moments. 20 minutes before entering the studio I took a sip of my coffee and then SPLAT! coffee stain on my shirt (just my luck). Thanks to quick thinking from Lee, we were able to remove the stain using a bottle of water and elbow grease. Just imagine two guys pouring and rubbing water on the same shirt on the side of the street!

Shoutouts go to Mohit Rajhans for arranging our appearance and Mike Lazazzera for coordinating us backstage. I actually felt like a celebrity for that window of 2 hours (make up, coffee/snack table, waiting area.. the works )

First time for everything……this is my first ever blog entry and podcast interview. Yes yes, running a web 2.0 site you would assume I would be all over blogsphere. There’s a time to speak and there’s a time to listen.. sometimes I prefer to listen.

Yesterday I had the privilege to experience my first ever podcast interview for a cool podcast show called Inside the Net. The hosts Amber MacArthur and Leo Laporte were amazing. As nervous as I was, they made the entire interview really comfortable. The location? The Drake Hotel, uber hip and trendy hot spot of downtown Toronto.

I first met Amber and Leo back in July at DemoCamp8 where Lee and myself gave a quick presentation on JobLoft.com.

I’ll have the podcast available when it’s released on Inside the Net, but in the meantime enjoy the pictures that were taken at The Drake Hotel.

We just got wind of this yesterday. Apparently on Flow 93.5 (a local Toronto radio station) is doing a spot for the Costi job fair today, and out of the attendees, JobLoft.com was mentioned! Check out this short 30 second audio clip!

Sure, we’ve gotten press coverage from Toronto Star, Metro News and even globeandmail.com, but nothing quite beats getting ‘eprops‘ from your own backyard.

Now, don’t get me wrong here; I’m ecstatic for getting press and blog attention but there’s something warm and fuzzy about getting acknowledged by your own school.
